PNEUMONIA IS FATAL

GEO. SCHMAKER, SICK LESS THAN WEEK,
DIED AT HOME ON BUTLER AVENUE

SECOND DEATH IN FAMILY

Body of Daughter Buried Three Weeks Ago Will be Disinterred.

George Schmacker died at 7 o'clock Tuesday after an illness of double pneumonia that attacked him last Wednesday. His death is particularly sad, as it is the second bereavement in the family within the last four weeks, a daughter having preceded him in Death December 14.

Mr. Schmacker was born in Germany March 8, 1970. He has lived in Waterloo for some time, and has been employed as plater in the factory of the Waterloo Register Co.

Mr. Schmacker leaves a widow and three children in Waterloo, a mother in Freeport, also a brother and sister in Freeport. His father died in Germany, and is buried in his native land.

The funeral services will be held at the residence Wednesday afternoon at 3:30, and the remains will be taken to Freeport for burial. The body of the daughter, which was buried in Fairview Cemetery in this city, will be disinterred and sent with the remains of the father to Freeport for burial.

George Schmaker is very ill of pneumonia. Mr. Schmaker Is employed as plater in the Waterloo Register factory, and recently suffered the bereavement of a daughter, who died from the effects of a fall upon the ice.
