WATERLOO - David V. "Dave" Crook, 64, of Waterloo, died Saturday, June 25, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 31, 1947, in Oskaloosa, son of Verlin and Dorothy Bird Crook. He married Linda Carpenter on Feb. 12, 1972, in Waterloo.

Mr. Crook served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a salesman for over 10 years with Wilson Distributing Co., Mount Pleasant, retiring earlier this year.

Survived by his wife; a daughter, Katrina Crook-Murray of Plainfield; his parents, Verlin and Dorothy Crook of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Cody, Tryston and Audrey; two brothers, Steven (Stephanie) and Dan (Diana), both of Waterloo; numerous nieces and nephews; and his two pets, Sadie and Tessa.

Preceded in death by a son, Brian; and a sister, Mary Jo Rhodes.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today and an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.
