Phillip E. Waniorek Sr. (Shorty Webber)

Survived by his wife, Jane Ann (Akers); five children, Phil Jr., William, Dawn, Pamala and Patrick; and a number of grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He worked at John Deere in Waterloo for 27 years, first as a machine operator, then became a member of management as a supervisor, retiring May 31, 1985. He was a long-standing member of the UAW.

After retirement he did a lot of camping and fishing with his family and friends. He enjoyed woodworking and was very good at it. He also enjoyed life and helping people when he could. He passed away on June 1, 2011, at his winter home in Weslaco, Texas, with his family by his side.
