WATERLOO - Elizabeth A. Kelly, 78, of West Union, formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, May 16, at Good Samaritan Nursing Center, West Union.

She was born May 16, 1933, in Waterloo, daughter of Roscoe and Elizabeth Reints Neebel. She married Marvin Kelly on Oct. 17, 1955, in Waterloo. They later divorced.

She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1951. She was a commercial artist at Cole-McVay Advertising from 1953-65 and independently for 30 years, retiring in 1995.

Survived by a daughter, Kim Derifield of Waterloo; a son, Kris (Barbara) Kelly of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Merrill of West Union; and two brothers, Jim Neebel of Waterloo and Dick (Norma) Neebel of Boise, Idaho.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Roger, Roscoe and William Neebel.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Ascension Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be held for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Christian Crusaders or Ascension Lutheran Church.
