WATERLOO - Charlotte Hattie Purcell, 87, of Waterloo, died at her daughter's home in Aurora on Tuesday, May 10.

She was born May 3, 1924, in Waterloo, daughter of James and Laura Klatt Lang. In March 1945, she married Elmor Purcell in California. He died in 1989.

Mrs. Purcell graduated from Waterloo West High School and was a homemaker.

Survived by a son, Larry (Carol) of Davenport; two daughters, Paula (Stephen) Collentine of Waterloo and Susan (Joe) Purcell-Varnell of Aurora; a daughter-in-law, Noreen Purcell of Waterloo; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosaline Lang; and a brother, Jerry Land.

Preceded in death by two sons, Denny and Cary; and two granddaughters.

Services at 1 p.m. Friday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family service, where visitation begins at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery.
