CEDAR FALLS - Robert E. Sherbon, 80, of Marshalltown, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, April 28, at the Iowa Veterans Home, Marshalltown.

He was born June 16, 1930, in Cedar Falls, son of John F. and Hazel Mae Price Sherbon. He married Florence M. Kuriger on Nov. 15, 1951, in Cedar Falls.

Mr. Sherbon was a U.S. Army veteran of Korean conflict. Before retirement, he was a truck driver for IPS.

Survived by three sons, Mitchell (Ronda) of Spencer, Howard "Tony" (Marcia) of Marengo and Mark (Penny) of La Porte City; a daughter, Anne Harvey of Long Grove; many grandchildren; and three sisters, Lucy Boyce and Barbara Mark, both of Cedar Falls, and Virginia Gerst of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by two brothers, John and Jerry.

Services 1:30 p.m. Monday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Visitation for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
