WATERLOO - Wayne Howard Schwartz, 84, of Waterloo, died Monday, April 25, at Allen Hospital.

He was born June 26, 1926, in Garrison, son of John and Gertie Schwartz. On April 27, 1952, he married Ida Bradley at Congregational Church, Traer.

Mr. Schwartz was a security guard at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 35 years, retiring in 1988.

Survived by his wife; four daughters, Flo Ann (Kerry) Etringer of Davenport, Joyce (Kevin) Brustkern of Walker, Barb Herman of McGregor and Colleen (John) Keck of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Alfred and Marion, both of Vinton.

Preceded in death by five brothers, Eldon, Kenneth and Harry, and twins at birth.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, where visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be Friday in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
