DOROTHY O. BOGE, 83, of Cedar Falls died Thursday, October 26, 2006 at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Health Center.

Dorothy was born June 27, 1923 at Floyd, Iowa the daughter of Frank & Ida (Hunt) Idler. She married Ephream Hoeft, and he died in June of 1970. She married Lawrence Boge, and he died in September of 1989.

Survivors include two sons, Albert (Cindy) Hoeft of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Jim (Joan) Hoeft of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren, Dennis, Scott, and Annalisa Hoeft; one great grandchild, Carter Hoeft; one brother, Kenneth “Bob” Idler of Bassett, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, one son, Dennis Hoeft; eight brothers, Albert, Roy, Melvin, Vern, Irvin, and Jesse Idler and two in infancy; and two sisters, Freda Woods and Mae Idler.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2006 at Nazareth Lutheran Church with burial at Sunnyside Memory Gardens in Charles City, Iowa. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to service time Monday at the church. A Rebekah service will be at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home by the Happy Thought Rebekah Lodge # 256 of Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to Christian Crusaders or Peoples Community Health Clinic in Waterloo.
