RUTH E. JAY was born on March 1, 1929 in Waterloo, Iowa the daughter of R.E. and Bess (Holtman) Boller. She married Robert K. Jay on May 28, 1949 in Waterloo, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1983.

Ruth died on Sunday, September 13, 1998 at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, Iowa at the age of 69 years.

She is survived by two sons, Jeff of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Chris of Delhi, Iowa; one daughter, Barb Eichhorst of Rosemount, Minnesota; thirteen grandchildren, Heather, Adam and Travis Jay, Tyler and Katie Eichhorst and Nick Ryan, Aaron, Andrew, Alex, Kate, Anna and Abby Jay; two brothers, Richard of Golden Valley, Minnesota and Paul of Waterloo, Iowa and two sisters, Dorothy Brumble of Lees Summit, Missouri and Lois Osness of Waterloo, Iowa.

Ruth was preceded by her parents, husband, one grandson, Matthew Eichhorst and one brother, Lee.

Memorial Services were 1:00 p.m. September 16, 1998 at the funeral home with inurnment in Garden of Memories, Cemetery in Waterloo, Iowa.
