HUDSON - Nancy Lynn Mumm, 44, of New Orleans, formerly of Hudson, died Feb. 27, in New Orleans.

She was born Oct. 3, 1966, in Des Moines, daughter of John "Bud" and Millie Mumm. She graduated from Hudson High School in 1985 and after attending Luther College and the University of Iowa, she received her nursing degree from Des Moines Area Community College in 1996.

Ms. Mumm's first position as a nurse was at Fort Defiance, Ark., at the Navajo Indian Hospital. She went on to become a traveling nurse, and for the past six years was a supervising nurse at the Children's Hospital, New Orleans.

Survived by her parents of Hudson; a sister, Linda (David) Leeper of Norwalk; three nieces; many aunts and uncles, cousins, friends; and special friends, Tomas and Charlie Lasansky.

Preceded in death by her grandparents, Pauline Crawford, and Bertha and Charles Mumm; and four uncles.

Memorial services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hudson United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be directed to the family, in lieu of flowers.

Nancy was a very caring and loving person. We will miss her greatly
