Nezim Pita, 46, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home of lung cancer. He was born December 15, 1961 in Kukavice, Rogatica, Bosnia the son of Salko and Rabija Pita. He married Fatima Redzovic.

Nezim had worked at Tyson Foods for six years.

Survived by his wife Fatima Pita of Waterloo; one son, Edis Pita of Waterloo; his mother, Rabija Pita of Sarajevo, Bosnia; three brothers, Redzep Pita of Gorazde, Bosnia, Nezir Pita of Sarajevo, Bosnia; Hilmo Pita of Norway and one sister, Zinka Socivica of Sarajevo, Bosnia.

Preceded in death by his father, Salko Pita.

Janaza Prayer will take place at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2008 in the Islamic Cemetery in Waterloo. Burial will be held in the Vlakovo Cemetery in Sarajevo, Bosnia at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
