WATERLOO - Everett F. Pint, 87, of Waterloo, died Friday, March 25, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

He was born Jan. 21, 1924, on a farm in Mitchell County, son of Anton and Regina Blake Pint. He married Marie E. Kenney Jan. 24, 1959, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waterloo. She died Sept. 29, 1987.

Mr. Pint served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater. He was employed with John Deere for 33 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of Moose Lodge, Knights of Columbus, and VFW.

Survived by a son, Dennis (Deb) of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Karen (Tom) Moothart of Fort Collins, Colo.; and two grandchildren, Stephanie and Josh Moothart.

Preceded in death by: three brothers, Richard, Francis and Eugene; and two sisters, Vivian Sweeney and Marian Sullivan.

Services 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, where full military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 138 and VFW Post 1623. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South St., with a 4 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary and 5 p.m. vigil service. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Monday at the church.
