David E. Stattelman May 13, 1994 - March 17, 2011

Newton, Iowa; formerly of Waterloo, Iowa

David was in 10th grade at Newton High School. He enjoyed music, sports and the MMA.

Those left to honor David's memory are his parents, Angela and Charles Loudermilk; sister, Kaylee Stattelman; two step brothers, Nicholas Loudermilk, and Christopher Loudermilk; his two grandmothers, Linda Stattelman, and Bette Loudermilk, all of Newton; great-grandmother, Luella Hart of Waterloo; and his many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary Stattelman; and uncle, Richard Barber.

The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the funeral home. Funeral Service 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment immediately following the funeral service on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Newton Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials in David and Dakota’s names be left at the funeral home.

[Waterloo Courier, Sunday, March 20, 2011]

WATERLOO - David E. Stattelman, 16, and Dakota C. Stattelman, 14, both of Newton, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, March 17, from injuries sustained in an auto accident.

David was born May 13, 1994, in Waterloo and Dakota was born May 30, 1996, in Waterloo, son of Angela D. Stattelman.

Survived by their parents, Angela and Charles Loudermilk; a sister, Kaylee Stattelman; two stepbrothers, Nicholas Loudermilk and Christopher Loudermilk; two grandmothers, Linda Stattelman and Bette Loudermilk, both of Newton; and a great-grandmother, Luella Hart of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by their grandfather, Gary Stattelman; and uncle, Richard Barber.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be left at the funeral home.

Waterloo Courier, Sunday, March 20, 2011 - David Stattelman, 16, and Dakota Stattelman, 14 of Newton were killed in a one-vehicle accident when the eastbound pickup truck they were riding in left the roadway, rolled and struck a utility pole in the 4600 block of South 36th Avenue West, a rural road about four miles southwest of Newton.. The accident occurred about 4:43 a.m. Thursday.
