EVANSDALE - Richard P. "Rich" Lewis, 64, of Evansdale, died Tuesday, March 8, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, of amyotropic lateral sclerosis.

He was born May 22, 1946, in Waterloo, son of Paul and Lucille Caito Lewis. He married Phyllis Potter on July 1, 1995, in Dayton, Ohio.

Mr. Lewis worked at Marquart Concrete Block for 19 years, then at Standard Golf Manufacturing, Cedar Falls, for 23 years, retiring in 2008.

Survived by his wife; a son, Robert (Kelly) of Dayton; two daughters, Michelle (Steve) Saratowski of Williamsport, Pa., and Kimberly Herring of Dayton; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Ann (Shorty) Anderson of Protem, Mo., and Rosemary (Joe) McGrane of Waterloo; and a brother-in-law, Ted Robinson of Waterloo,

Preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Robinson.

Memorial Services 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Evansdale. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, Waterloo. His body will be cremated following visitation.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
