WATERLOO — Laura Mae Hoeppner, 77, of Waterloo, died Saturday, March 5, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born June 11, 1933, in Faulkton, S.D., daughter of John and Barbara Hoffert Cunningham. She married Vernon H. Hoeppner on Feb. 11, 1949, in Aberdeen, S.D. He died Feb. 14, 2004.

Mrs. Hoeppner was employed with John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works, Sears and Gill's Super Value until retirement.

Survived by two daughters, Pennie (Stan) Sands of Waterloo and Marilyn (Geoff) Steven of Buckingham; two sons, Gregory (Wanda) of New Hartford and Lowell of Des Moines; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by an infant son; an infant daughter; and an infant sister.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.
