CEDAR FALLS - James Allen Washington, 48, of Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Cedar Falls, died Feb. 15 of cancer.

He was born Dec. 3, 1962, in Waterloo, son of Claude and Kathy Campbell Washington.

Mr. Washington attended Cedar Falls High School and worked as a master automotive technician.

Survived by a daughter, Amy Washington of Kansas City; his parents of Cedar Falls; a sister, Julie (Kerry) Baskins of Overland Park, Kan.; and a nephew and niece, Ryan Baskins and Jessica Stokes, both of Overland Park.

Preceded in death by a sister, Jeanne Holmes.

Services will take place in the spring.
