WATERLOO - Debra Ann Dixon, 49, of Waterloo, died Feb. 20 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

She was born Aug. 23, 1961, in Leland, Miss., daughter of Harold and Elizabeth Moody-Dixon-Williams.

Ms. Dixon received her GED from Hawkeye Community College and her associate's degree as a business administrative assistant from the American Institute of Technology. She had previously worked with APAC Telemarketing and Milroy Tuxedos, along with various other jobs.

Survived by her stepmother, Sandra Dixon of Waterloo; a son, Montrell Antwoine Dixon of Independence, Mo.; a daughter, Cherelle Nicole Dixon of Waterloo; six grandchildren, Zamia Amor and Alexis Renee Dixon of Muskogee, Okla., Merecedes Lashay and Lavaya Elizabeth Dixon, Ciara Lynn Sollars and Brooklyn Jalyse Smith, all of Waterloo; a brother, George R. Dixon Jr. of Waterloo; five sisters, Bonnie Grant of Gary, Ind., Elizabeth Dorsey of Irving, Texas, Gilda Faye Oliver of Milwaukee, Judy M. Bradford of Waterloo and Linda Williams of Memphis, Tenn.; and a host of family and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents; her maternal and paternal grandparents; her stepfather and mother, George and Bertha Dixon; and a sister, Patricia Williams.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Union Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at 308 Courtland St.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Debra will be missed and so will that pleasant, warm smile.
