CEDAR FALLS - James Leland "Jim" Henderson, 78, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Feb. 7, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 4, 1932, in Savanna, Ill., son of Charles S. and Elizabeth Carroll Henderson. He married Connie McCann Feb. 5, 1955, in Des Moines.

He was employed with Chicago Great Western Railway, and later owned and operated Henderson Traffic Bureau.

Survived by his wife, Connie; three daughters, Julie (Douglas) Craven of Austin, Minn., Linda Gill of Naperville, Ill., and Theresa Henderson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a son, James Patrick (Lonnie) of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Patricia (Bob) Junk of Independence and Mary Jo (Tom) Kershisnik of Rocks Springs, Wyo.

Preceded in death by a son, John Charles Henderson; and a brother, Edward Monahan.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 5 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.

Memorials may be directed to the church, Salvation Army, or donor's choice.
