Funeral arrangements were pending Monday for Charles Miller, 66, who died in St. Francis Hospital Monday at 11:10 a.m. of complications of asthma.
Mr. Miller lived at 908 Franklin Street.

He was born July 1, 1884 in Waterloo, the son of George and Catherine Miller. He worked at the Marsh-Place building as an elevator operator and janitor for 35 years. Mr. Miller married Grace Shaeffer in Perry, Ia., April 12, 1911.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Carl T. Miller, 212 Wellington Street; and one sister, Alice Short of Chicago. His parents and one brother preceded him in death.

The body is at O’Keefe & Towne funeral home.
