MAY RUNKLE RITES THURSDAY AT LITTLE CEDAR

Osage – Mrs. May Runkle, 80, died Monday at the Booram Rest Home, Cedar Falls. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Little Cedar Methodist Church. Burial will be in Little Cedar Cemetery. Champion Funeral Home is in charge.

May Pingry, born near Riceville, was married to Frank Runkle in 1900. They farmed near Riceville and then moved to Little Cedar. He died 16 years ago. She moved to Cedar Falls last year.

Surviving are a son, Harold, Cedar Falls; a grandchild, two great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Avis Kingsbury, Osage.

May Adelia Runkle was born June 12, 1882 in Jenkins, Mitchell, Iowa, the daughter of Adelbert Pingry and Adelaide “Addie” (Foote) Pingry. She married Frank James Runkle . He died in 1944.
