Funeral services for Edson Thomas Durnin, 73, of 715 Downing St., will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial at Fairview Cemetery.

Mr. Durnin died Saturday morning at Parkview Gardens Care Center of emphysema.

Born near Fairbank, Oct. 22, 1900, the son of Thomas and Nancy Seal Durnin, he married Ardis Truwin in Waterloo in October of 1923. She preceded him in death. Mr. Dumin was a retired government meat inspector at Rath Packing Co.

Survivors include five sons, Marvin of 1912 Franklin St., Kenneth of 1451 Huntingdon Rd., Thomas of 1923 Downing St., Dewey of Hudson and Howard of 632 Greenbrier Rd.; four sisters, Mrs. Helen Rosner of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Elizabeth Stafford of 2215 Victory Dr., Cedar Falls, Mrs. Esther McKibben of Allendale, Illinois, and Mrs. Genevieve King of LeRoy, Minn.

Friends may call at O'Keefe and 'Towne Funeral Home after 3 p.m. today.
