HANNA, ROADWELL, SULLIVAN, FAIRHOLM

WATERLOO - Violet M. Hanna, 87, of Bickford Cottage, Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, Jan. 13, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born Nov. 15, 1923, in Evansville, Ind., daughter of William Henry and Grace Mae Roadwell Sullivan. She married P. James Hanna on Jan. 27, 1947, in Maryville, Kan. He died Dec. 19, 2000.

Mrs. Hanna was an assembly floor leader at Hinson Manufacturing for 20 years. She also was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of Central Christian Church.

Survived by: two sons, James D. (Anna) of Florence, Ariz., and John B. (Ellen) of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) Thorne, Kathleen (John) LaPointe and David Hanna; two great-grandchildren, Hanna and Angeline LaPointe; a brother, John C. Sullivan of Missouri; and a sister-in-law, Margie Sullivan of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: her parents; a brother, Edward Sullivan; a sister and brother-in-law, Thelma and Ray Fairholm; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Sullivan.

Private family services: will be held at a later date, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. The Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, P.O. Box 2880, Waterloo 50704 or Central Christian Church, 3475 Kimball Ave., Waterloo 50702, in lieu of flowers,
