WATERLOO - Francis L. "Rusty" Levendusky, 79, of Waterloo, died at home Monday, Jan. 3, of an apparent heart attack.

He was born Jan. 7, 1931, in Fairbank, son of Thomas and Josephine Beener Levendusky. He married Clara Marie "Rosie" Roszell on Nov. 16, 1956, in Waterloo.

Mr. Levendusky served in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Rath Packing Co. in 1984 after 30 years of service.

Survived by his wife; a son, David (Debbi) of Oregon; two daughters, Cynthia (Mark) Schroder of Des Moines and Diane Lane of Kaukauna, Wis.; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Betty) of Waterloo; and a sister, Evelyn Primmer of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Jr.; and two sisters, Gerri Martin and Dorothy Davoli.

Services: 1 p.m. Friday at Crossroads Assembly of God Church, Waterloo, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Vinton. Graveside military rites will be conducted by George G. Luckey American Legion Post 57 of Vinton. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel and an hour before services Friday at the church. Family and friends are invited to a lunch immediately following services at the church.
