ELK RUN HEIGHTS - Aileen Yvonne Bartlett, 78, of Parkview Nursing & Rehab Center, Waterloo, died there Tuesday, Jan. 4, of cancer.

She was born Sept. 15, 1932, on the family farm in Whiting, daughter of Fred and Alma Harris Parks. She married Robert K. Miller in November 1951, and they later divorced. She married Glenn Bartlett on Oct. 22, 1965. He died Dec. 30, 1995.

Mrs. Bartlett graduated from school in Whiting in 1950. She was employed as a photo technician at American Color, Cedar Falls, retiring in 1993.

Survived by: four daughters, Dianne (Craig) White and Gail Wilson, both of Waterloo, Deborah Tucker of Mira Loma, Calif., and Susan (Marlyn) Weber of Dike; a son, Eric (Lisa) Bartlett of Clive; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: her parents; two brothers, Benton and Wayne Parks; and two sisters, Joyce Comfort and Donna Satter.

No services are planned. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, Waterloo, assisted the family.

Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Cancer Center, 3530 W. Fourth St., Waterloo 50701.

Aileen loved to tell stories, work crossword puzzles and bowling at the Starr Lanes. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Parkview and Cedar Valley Hospice for the wonderful care shown to our mother.
