WATERLOO - Dale LeRoy Chase, 81, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Dec. 30, at his home.

He was born June 24, 1929 in Waterloo, son of Ithmer and Ina Maricle Chase. He married Lou Ellen Rose Uhlenhake Aug. 7, 1946 in Waterloo.

He graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1946 and was a semi driver for Rath Packing Co., retiring when the company closed. The couple owned and operated the Spudnut Shop in Waterloo in the 1970s.

Survived by: his wife; three sons, Steve (Barb), David and Jeff Chase, all of Waterloo; five daughters, Lana (Larry) Oltrogge of Waterloo, Linda (Steve) Dumer of Cedar Falls, Cheryl Schneider of Waterloo, Cathy (Tom) Youngblut of Portland, Texas, and Julie (Pat) Weber of Waterloo; 22 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Darlene Schoepske of Waterloo.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waterloo, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls. Public visitation from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home, with a 1 p.m. rosary and 4 p.m. Scripture service.
