WATERLOO — Ardis M. Grady, 95, of Waterloo, died Monday, Dec. 27, at Lakeview Landing of Friendship Village.

She was born Dec. 21, 1915, in Waterloo, daughter of Earl and Vida Miller Lichty. She married Marvin Grady on May 22, 1938, at Root River Church of the Brethren, Preston, Minn. He died April 29, 1998.

Mrs. Grady attended Preston High School. She worked at Overland's Ice Cream, then at J.C. Penney Co. for 20 years as a sales clerk and later worked with her son at Grady Instruments. She was a member of South Waterloo Church of the Brethren.

Survived by: a daughter, Marcia (Lyle) Andress of Ann Arbor, Mich.; a son, Merlin of Waterloo; three stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Lichty of Mountain Home, Ark.

Preceded in death by: three brothers, Keith, Wallace and Russell Lichty.
