WATERLOO - Glenn Leon Piegors, 86, of 1839 Patton Ave., died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

He was born June 14, 1913, in Bremer County, son of Earnest and Frances Johnston Piegors. He married Ruth M. Brennan on July 15, 1939, in Fairbank.

Mr. Piegors was employed as an office clerk at Rath Packing Co. for 37 years, retiring in 1974. He also was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during World War II.

Survived by: his wife; two sons, Richard of San Francisco and Donald of Manchester; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by: two sisters, Irene Westendorf and Clara Richards.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Flag-folding rites will be conducted by Evansdale AMVETS Post 31. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 3 p.m. Senior Citizen's rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
