John Henry Wm. Andorf, one of the old residents of the county, died Friday, afternoon at 3:45 o'clock at the home of his son, William Andorf, in Black Hawk Township. The cause of death was not given.
Mr. Andorf was sixty-three years of age and was born in Germany. On coming to America he settled first in Cook County, Illinois. Thirty-eight years ago he came to Black Hawk County and settled on a farm in Black Hawk Township, a few miles north of Hudson.
He is survived by one son, William H. Andorf, a brother Henry, of Black Hawk Township; a sister Mrs. Mary Nagel, of Hudson.
Mr. Andorf was a member of the German Lutheran church near Hudson.
The funeral will be held at the William Andorf home in Black Hawk Township Monday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock.
Burial will be made in the German Lutheran Cemetery.
