GILBERTVILLE - Thelma K. Carroll Watson, 88, of Gilbertville, died Monday, Dec. 20, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born Nov. 25, 1922, in Waterloo, daughter of Herman and Lillie Fink Mixdorf. She married Everett Carroll. They later divorced. She married Leonard Watson Jan. 10, 1969. He died Dec. 31, 2003.

She was a homemaker.

Survived by: three sons, Ray (Marilyn) Carroll of Jonesboro, Ark., Jim (Karen) Carroll of Elk Run Heights and Mike (Karen) Carroll of Evansdale; a daughter, Jeanne (Gary) Mangrich of Gilbertville; four stepdaughters, Debra Senteney of Reno, Nev., Dawn (Tim) Cochran of Des Moines, Crystal Hansen of Jesup and Yvette (Kelly) Arcand of Savage, Minn.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; a brother, Claude Mixdorf of Manhaven, Fla.; and three sisters, Juanita Gausman of Chisago City, Minn., Dorothy Ulrich of Humboldt and Faith Heiser of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: a son, Claude Carroll; and two brothers, Walt and Harry Mixdorf.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, Waterloo, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.
