CEDAR FALLS — Nancy Christensen, 71, of Warrensburg, Mo., formerly of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, at home.

She was born Aug. 20, 1939, in Waterloo, daughter of Wendell III and Doris Davis Heidemann. She married Ed Christensen on Nov. 9, 1999, in Las Vegas.

Mrs. Christensen attended school in Cedar Falls and worked various trades during her life, including a waitress, farmhand, Toyland at the Naval Exchange in Hawaii and most recently as a caregiver and for FEMA. She also was a seamstress.

Survived by: her husband; five sons, Steven (Janice) and David (Dawn) Johnson, both of Fredericksburg, and Ross (Sandy Dietz) Johnson, John (Lois) Johnson and Robert (Krista Lee) Hool, all of Waverly; six daughters, Johanna (Frank Darcourt) Hool of Austin, Texas, Barbara (Randy) Briner of Stoutland, Mo., Tracey Geren of Topeka, Kan., Kelly Owens of Savanah, Mo., and Michelle Christensen and Lisa Christensen, both of Warrensburg; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five sisters, Jean (Larry) Sackett and Doris Ann (James) Jansen, both of Cedar Falls, Alice Franklin of Houston, Merri (Golden) Reninger of Weatherford, Texas, and Rosalie (John) Hiatt of Warrensburg; and four brothers, Fredrick (Karen) Heidemann of Azle, Texas, Jerald (Lorie) Heidemann of Tripoli, John (Sue) Heidemann of Davenport and Joe Heidemann of Waverly.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly. Public visitation today at the funeral home, with family present from 5 to 8 p.m. Her body will be cremated following the services.
