CEDAR FALLS — Betty Mauer Koch, 68, of Grundy Center Memorial Hospital Long-Term Care Center, died there under hospice care Saturday, Dec. 11.

She was born March 22, 1942, in Riceville, daughter of Clifton Eugene and Irene Hawkins Buttolph. She married Daniel Mauer on Aug. 22, 1959, in Riceville; they later divorced. She then married Leon C. Koch on May 21, 1966, in Waterloo. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Koch was employed as a pharmacy clerk at Sartori Memorial Hospital and later an administrative assistant at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center, both in Cedar Falls, and held retail positions in the metro area, most recently at Target.

Survived by: four sons, Curt (Pam) Mauer of Grundy Center, Clif (Lisa) Mauer of Mitchell, S.D., Gordon Mauer of Arlington, Texas, and Lee (Tammy) Koch of Grundy Center; a daughter, Nicole (Bill) Buzynski of Locust Grove, Va.; 16 grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth (Darlene) Buttolph of Anchorage, Alaska; and two sisters, Deloris Hennigar of Manley and Kate (Ray) Knapp of Iowa Falls.

Preceded by: twin infant sons, James and John; two brothers, Dale and Lloyd Buttolph; and a sister, Dorothy Wagner.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Rice- ville. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday for an hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.
