WATERLOO - Delmar E. Taylor, 79, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Waterloo, died Saturday, Dec. 4, at Freedom Plaza in Sun City of cancer.

He was born July 18, 1931, in Brownsdale, Minn., son of Mabry S. and Lou Hiatt Taylor. He married Mary E. Ulrick Aug. 24, 1948, in Cresco.

He was a tradesman at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 28 years, retiring in 1991.

Survived by: his wife; three sons, Richard D. (Nancy) of Waterloo, Jack J. (Linda) of Cumming, Ga., and Robert E. (Marjean) of Flagstaff, Ariz.; four daughters, Mary Ann (Steven) Walker of Cedar Rapids, Becky L. (Mike) Young of Hudson, Jayne M. Weber of Faribault, Minn., and Lisa M. (Bernard) Ramcke of Verado, Ariz.; two brothers, Mabry (Betty) Taylor Jr. of Spring Valley, Minn., and James R. (Connie) Taylor of Cedar Falls; five sisters, Wauneta Back of Ostrander, Minn., Erma Legler of Austin, Minn., Rita Blake of Albert Lea, Minn., Mary Lou (Gene) Stewart of Racine, Minn., and Janice (Coral) Fortney of Lime Springs; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; stepgrandchildren; and stepgreat-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a son, Thomas A. Taylor; a sister, Helen Walker; and a brother, Harold.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with inurnment later in Waterloo Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. Scripture service.
