WATERLOO — Gerald A. "Gerry" Dougan, 89, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 12, 1921, in Waterloo, son of John and Rosetta Welch Dougan. He married Mary Bianchi on June 12, 1948, in Peoria.

Mr. Dougan attended Our Lady of Victory Academy and graduated from Bradley Horology Institute, Peoria, Ill. He worked as a watchmaker and Rolex specialist at Roth Jewelers from 1946 to 1988 when he retired. He was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survived by: his wife; several special cousins and close friends.

Preceded in death by: his parents.

Services: 3 p.m. Friday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, Waterloo, with entombment in Mount Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum. Public visitation for an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Bend Humane Society, 1166 W. Airline Highway, Waterloo 50703-9634, in lieu of flowers.
