WATERLOO — Timothy James Brustkern Jr., 40, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Dec. 4, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, from cancer.

He was born July 6, 1970, in Dover, Del., son of Timothy J. and Sandra Johannes Brustkern.

Mr. Brustkern was a 1988 graduate of Waterloo West High School and was attending Kirkwood College, Cedar Rapids.

Survived by: two daughters, Emma and Elaine Brustkern, both of North Liberty; his parents of Waterloo; a sister, Dawn (Brian) Belbis of Romeoville, Ill.; two nieces, Chloe and Mia, and a nephew, Owen Belbis, all of Romeoville; paternal grandmother, Roberta Brustkern of Waterloo; and eight aunts and uncles, Bill (Joan) Johannes, Jim Johannes, Robert (Ann) Brustkern, Bonnie (Dan) Rejman, John (Janice) Brustkern, Steve (Janet) Brustkern, Mike (Shelly) Brustkern and Rose (Robert) Luna.

Preceded in death by: maternal grandparents, James and Marie Johannes; and paternal grandfather, Art Brustkern.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with a 4 p.m. rosary, and an hour before services Wednesday.

Memorials: may be given in his name to the American Cancer Society.
