WATERLOO - Leonard E. "Lennie" Bergmann, 72, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Nov. 20, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home of emphysema and COPD.

He was born July 20, 1938, in Waterloo, son of Leo and Geraldine Thieman Bergmann. He married Sharron Lykins May 31, 1958, in Waterloo.

He worked for John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 36 years, retiring in January 1993.

Survived by: his wife; three sons, Tim of Cedar Rapids, and Ted and Tod of Waterloo; a brother, Roger (Candy) Bergmann of West Salem, Wis.; two nieces, Tracy (Craig) Lorenzen of Overland Park, Kan., and Carrie (Chris) Langan of Sparta, Wis.; a sister-in-law, Barbara (Earl) Jacobson of Waterloo; and a nephew, Chad Jacobson of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: a nephew.

Memorial Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with private family inurnment before services in Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Waterloo. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
