CEDAR FALLS - Stanley Goos, 63, of Union Grove Lake, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, Nov. 11, at his home.

He was born Feb. 7, 1947, in Cedar Falls, son of Irwin "Pee-Wee" and Arlene "Fuzzy" Hansen Goos. He married Jackie Boldt Dec. 16, 1972, at Salem Church of Lincoln.

He graduated from Gladbrook High School in 1965 and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1965-69. Mr. Goos was employed by Spahn-Rose Lumber Co. and was a member of Gladbrook United Methodist Church.

Survived by: his wife; five children, Carol Jean Cork of Copperas Cove, Texas, Pamela (Sterling) Heise of Des Moines, Samuel (Shanna) Goos of Gladbrook, Daniel (Cheryl) Goos of Marshalltown and Elizabeth (Joshua) Brubaker of Gladbrook; 11 grandchildren; his mother; and two brothers, Mark (Linda) Goos of Gladbrook and Gregg (Terri) Goos of West Liberty.

Preceded in death by: his father; and two sons, Jason and Joshua in infancy.

Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Monday at Mitchell Family Funeral Home, Marshalltown, with private burial at a later date. Full military honors by the Ehrig-McTurk Post of Gladbrook American Legion. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
