HENRY, GRIFFIN, LEAMAN, BROWN

WATERLOO - Thomas E. Henry, 88, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Nov. 11, at the Hospice of North Iowa, Mason City.

He was born May 2, 1922, in Fairfax, son of John and Johanna Griffin Henry. He married Donna Marie Leaman on June 2, 1946, in Waterloo.

Mr. Henry was in the 14th Armored Division of the U.S. Army in World War II and served in Germany and France. He was a member of the American Legion and was a machinist, gauge inspector and gauge repairman at John Deere for 38 years, retiring in 1983.

Survived by: his wife; a son, John (Judy) of Mason City; a daughter-in-law, Barbara (Don) Brown of Des Moines; four grandchildren, Sarah, Jim, Elizabeth and Clarissa; and a great-granddaughter, Heike.

Preceded in death by: his parents; seven brothers and sisters; and a son, David.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Flag presentation will be conducted by Waterloo American Legion 138, VFW Post 1623 and the Iowa Army National Guard. Public visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home.
