WATERLOO — Thomas E. "Tom" Fettkether, 63, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, at Allen Hospital.

He was born June 30, 1947, in Waterloo, son of Kenneth and Esther Carroll Fettkether. He married Charlene Newlon on March 18, 1975, in Galena, Ill. They later divorced.

Mr. Fettkether graduated from Monrovia High School, Monrovia, Calif., then attended a community college. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a supervisor for John Deere, retiring in 2001 as a quality engineer. He was currently working as a John Deere tour guide.

Survived by: two sons, David DeBuhr of Waverly and Lucas Fettkether of Waterloo; two daughters, Traci (Scott) Stillwell of Hampton and Stephanie Fettkether Turner of Dunkerton; six grandchildren, Devon DeBuhr, Logan Fettkether, Hope and Samuel Spear, Nicolas Fettkether and Bodie Turner; a sister, Sharon McManus of Claremont, Calif.; a special friend, Marlys Becker of Waterloo; and many friends.

Preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Jim and Mike; three sisters, Carol Pausch, Janice Clark and Mary Hargrave.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with inurnment in Mount Olivet Cemetery at a later date. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home. Full military rites will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49 with flag folding by the Iowa Army Honor Guard.
