WATERLOO - Ralph Lee Hoskins, 85, of Waterloo, died Monday, Nov. 8, at home of natural causes.

He was born Feb. 25, 1925, in Watervalley, Miss., son of Mose Hoskins and Bessie Tredwell. He married Rosie Lee Bowens on Nov. 22, 1947, in Senatobia, Miss.

He retired from Rath Packing Co. after 35 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survived by: his wife, Rosie Lee; two daughters, Ollie Wooten of Memphis, Tenn., and Carol D. Hoskins of Waterloo; four sons, James Hoskins of Waterloo, Larry E. Jackie Hoskins of Cedar Falls, Craig A. Hoskins of Waterloo and Curtis (Liz) Jackson of Coffieville, Miss.; a godson, Will Thomas of Waterloo; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a son, Gary Hoskins; a daughter, Pearl Montgomery; a brother, Willie Hoskins; and three sisters, Pearl Anderson, Bernice Hoskins and Atlee Strong.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Corinthian Baptist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Sanders Funeral Service, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family at 726 Cottage St., Waterloo.
