CEDAR FALLS — James Willis Wiseman, 96, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

He was born Sept. 29, 1914, in Centerville, son of Mitchell G. and Marcia G. Hays Wiseman. He married Floramye D. Acuff on Sept. 26, 1947, in Waterloo. She died May 9, 2004.

Mr. Wiseman served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was employed as a land surveyor with Brice, Petrides & Associates Engineers, retiring in 1976. He was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Survived by a special friend, Barbara Kehe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph Wiseman and Ted Heller; and two sisters, Ruth Mann and Eloise Rubendall.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Richardson Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
