DUNKERTON — Jerry L. Johnson, 70, of Dunkerton, died Sunday, Nov. 7, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

He was born April 5, 1940, in Washington Court House, Ohio, son of Herman and Nellie Grandle Johnson. He married Susan Rittenour on June 30, 1989, in Nevada.

Mr. Johnson was a graduate of Washington Court House High School and attended Ohio State University. He served in the U.S. Army and was employed with Sterling Inc. (Kay Jewelry) for 46 years as district manager.

Survived by: his wife; a son, Neal of Las Vegas; three daughters, Lisa Johnson of Las Vegas, Melissa (Rich) Tysinger of Waterloo and Rebecca (Jed) Van Lengen of Shell Rock; and five grandchildren.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Dunkerton. Graveside military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home, with a 7 p.m. public Masonic service by Black Hawk Lodge 65 A.F. & A.M.
