WATERLOO MAN KILLED AT CROSSING

WATERLOO, IA - John A. Kearney, 35, Waterloo grocery clerk, was killed today when his automobile collided with an Illinois Central railroad switch engine at a cross in East Waterloo.

It was the second auto-switch engine collision at the crossing in two days. Occupants of the car involved in the first collision suffered minor injuries.

Kearney died on his way to a hospital from a skull fracture and other injuries.

Kearney who formerly lived at Williams, Iowa, is survived by his father, a grocer, and two sisters.
