Services are held Tues. morning for Glade E. Miller, 88

Funeral services for Glade E. Miller, 88, of 600 Park Lane, Waterloo, were held Tuesday, October 26, 1993, at Hammond Avenue Brethern Church at 11:00 a.m. Private family burial held prior to the service was at Orange Township Cemetery.

Mr. Miller passed away on Saturday at Friendship Village Med Center of natural causes.

He was born April 20, 1905 in Waterloo, the son of Elias B. and Marietta E. Flickinger Miller. He married Merna E. Peterson on September 27, 1928 in Waterloo. Mr. Miller farmed for many years in Orange Township, retiring in 1958. He then worked as an insurance agent for Black Hawk Mutual Insurance Co. in Hudson, retiring in 1975.

Survivors include his wife of Waterloo; a daughter, Marilyn Hoskins of Waterloo; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Jay, Paul and Guy Miller; three sisters, Vida “Millie” Brown, Agnes Titsworth and Hazel Lawson.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and an avid sportsman.
