MRS. GOTTLIEB
FELL IS DEAD

Passed Away at Home of
Her Daughter, Mrs. Chs
Mauser, in Waterloo

Mrs. Gottlieb Fell, a resident of this vicinity since 1881, died last night at midnight in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Mauser, 1845 West 3rd Street, Waterloo, from acute kidney trouble. Mrs. Fell had been living in the Western Old Peoples Home in Cedar Falls but after her illness developed she was taken to the Mauser home where she was given constant care by her children. She was surrounded by her family when death came.

Fredricka Kathrina Kleeman was born in Wurtiemberg, Germany, April 27, 1849 and grew to young womanhood in her native country. Then on August 24, 1874, she was married to Gottlieb Fell and they made their home in Germany until 1881 when they emigrated to America. They located in this vicinity and farmed until 1912, when they moved to La Porte City. As years passed and maintaining their home became more of a burden, they decided to go to the Western Old Peoples Home in Cedar Falls, an institution of the Evangelical Church in which both Mr. and Mrs. Fell had membership. On December 14, 1921, they entered the Home, where Mr. Fell died June 3rd, 1928. Sinde then Mrs. Fell has remained in the Home, making occasional visits with her children and friends, but feeling that her church institution was really her own home.

Thirteen children were born into the Fell home, four of whom with the father, preceded the mother in death.

Surviving are the following children: George Fell and Mrs. Clyde Anton, of La Porte City; Mrs. Charles Mauser, Fred Fell and the Misses Christina and Leta Fell of Waterloo; Mrs. John Schwinger, of Alden, Iowa; Mrs. G. F. Mauser, of Osage, Iowa; Mrs. Chris Mauser, of Trail City, South Dakota.

Funeral arrangements were not complete at the time of going to press but interment will be made in the family lot in West View.
