HUDSON — Frances Kathryn Cavanaugh, 98, of Parkview Manor, Reinbeck, formerly of Hudson, died Saturday, Sept. 4, at the manor of natural causes.

She was born Dec. 20, 1911, in Eagle Center, daughter of Joseph and Susannah Schaefer Lellig. She married Ralph J. Cavanaugh on Oct. 18, 1941, in Eagle Center. He died Sept. 18, 1991.

Mrs. Cavanaugh was a homemaker.

Survived by: several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: four brothers, Lawrence, Harold, Edward and Theodore; and three sisters, Angela DeBerg, Lena Cavanaugh, Marcella “Pete” Farrell.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waterloo. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
