Funeral services are pending at Locke Funeral Home in Waterloo for Donald B. Sergeant, 88, lifelong resident of Hudson. Mr. Sergeant passed away at his home at 214 Eldora Rd. Tuesday, July 19, 1994.

Don was born in Judson August 29, 1905, son of George and Della Petrie Sergeant. He married Iris Lynch in Cedar Falls on November 5, 1933. They owned and operated Sergeant Oil Company for 50 years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of Hudson Oddfellows and Hudson United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Iris, and two sons Robert and Harlan, both of Hudson, and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Ray, Floyd, Charles and George Sergeant.

Memorials may be directed to Hudson United Methodist Church.
