EVANSDALE — Joseph "Joe" W. Seda, 82, of Evansdale, died Monday, Aug. 9, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

He was born Aug. 31, 1927, in Necedah, Wis., son of Joe and Rose Bouska Seda. He married Phyliss Huntley Nov. 28, 1953, in Waterloo.

Mr. Seda was employed as an electrician for Fereday Heating & Cooling, and later Don Lentz Heating & Cooling, retiring in 1994.

Survived by: his wife; three sons, Steven (Taresa), Stanley and Stewart (Raja); three daughters, Dorthea (Jerry) Pates, Diane (Joe) Kohls and Debra (Troy) Williams; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Fred of Gladbrook and Jim (Mary) of St. Charles, Ill.; and three sisters, Emma Kubik of Traer, Helen Finn of Waterloo and Dorothy (Lloyd) Marxen of Davenport.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Ed and Frank; and two sisters, Bessie Husak and Rosie Seda.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with a 7 p.m. vigil service.
