MRS. RICHARD GILLEY

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Grace Methodist church for Mrs. Richard Gilley, 42, of 320 Oak Park Circle who died at Methodist hospital in Rochester, Minn., Saturday at 9 p.m. of carcinoma.

She had been ill since August of 1960 and a patient of the hospital for the past 11 days.

Dr. Deane Chapman, pastor of Grace Methodist church, will officiate and burial will be in the Waterloo Memorial Park cemetery.

Mrs. Gilley was born Violet Lucille Lukes, Nov. 11, 1918, the daughter of A.F. and Rose Pecinovsky Lukes at Waterloo. She was married to Richard Curtis Gilley Feb. 1, 1940, in Waterloo, and she received her education at East High School and Gates Business College. She was a lifelong resident of Waterloo.

Mrs. Gilley was employed by the Rath Packing Co. purchasing department in 1940. Recently she has been working with her husband at his supermarket, Dick's Food Center.

She was a member of Grace Methodist church, W.S.C.S. Circle No. 6; Waterloo Chapter Order of the Eastern Star; and the Elklets. She was a past president of the Hawthorne School PTA and had been a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts.

She is survived by her husband; her father, A.F. Lukes of 832 Riehl St.; two sons, Curtis and Stephen, both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Elise Neythaler of 215 Bryant Ave. and Mrs. Edna Ames of 1019 Evergreen St.

She was preceded in death by her mother in 1933.

The body will be taken at noon Tuesday from Kearns-Dykeman chapel where friends may call until noon. Those who wish may contribute to Grace Methodist church or to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
