CEDAR FALLS - Roberta "Ilene" Bond Johnson, 78, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, July 28, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

She was born Jan. 19, 1932, in Lathrop, Mo., daughter of Glenn David Sr. and Frances Henderson Bond. She married Harvey Johnson on March 20, 1951, in Waterloo.

She worked at several small diners in the area and was employed as a bookkeeper with Tom's Plumbing.

Survived by: her husband; three sons, Rick (Deb) of Waterloo and John and Mark, both of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Pam of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gene (Joann) Bond of Cedar Falls, John (Amy) Bond of Bertha, Minn., and Jerry (Butch) Bond of Janesville; and four sisters, Janet (Dan) Ruiz of East Moline, Ill., Doris (Morris) Smith of Floodwood, Minn., Pat (Cletus) Weitnauer of Waterloo and Karen Miranda of Hudson.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Glenn Jr. and James; and a sister, Gwendolyn Fredericksen.

Services: 1 p.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, and for an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial fund: has been established.
