Mrs. Bertha R. Wetlaufer

Mrs. Bertha R. Wetlaufer, 64, died of carcinoma at 11:15 a.m. Friday at her home at 507 West Fifth street. She had been suffering from the disease for the past two years.

She was born Dec. 30, 1886, at Badger, Ia., the daughter of Andrew and Millie Bjelland. She came to Waterloo about 41 years ago and in April, 1911, was married to Ralph O. Wetlaufer in Waterloo. She was a member of Trinity American Lutheran church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Veryl Floyd, Prairie Du Chien, Wis.; a son, Robert, of 613 West Mullan avenue; a step-daughter, Mrs. E. W. Morris, Cedar Falls; a brother, Oscar Bjelland, Badger, Ia.; four sisters: Mrs. T. J. Severtson of 607 Reber avenue, Mrs. Ray Williams, El Run; Mrs. Roy Blakesley, Amboy, Minn.; Mrs. Julie Eudmonson, Badger, Ia.; and one granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, her parents and a grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Trinity American Lutheran church with Rev. G. E. Melchert, pastor, in charge and burial in Elmwood cemetery. The body will be at Parrott & Wood funeral home until noon Monday when it will be removed to the church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha R. Wetlaufer, who died at 1:15 a.m. Friday at her home, 507 West First street, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Trinity American Lutheran church. The Courier Friday incorrectly identified a sister of the deceased as a Mrs. Eudmonson. The correct name is Mrs. Julia Gudmonson of Badger, Ia.
